I hope that my Albarelli tell a story, a narrative that explains the way I handle clay and fire, and also the way I consider parts of a vessel.more info
I’ve always had a soft spot for the bottle form. When I was learning how to make pots it was a shape that challenged me.more info

I am a studio potter based in Mackaytown, Paeroa, New Zealand and specialise mainly in wheel thrown work. I also enjoy wood firing and vapour glazing.
My Gallery page has links to my picture galleries and information about why I make these kinds of pots.
The Information page has my contact details, my gallery contacts and lots more.
I'm keen to take on workshops and other teaching assignments and I have more information about what kinds of classes I run under my Teaching page.
My Glaze pages contain a basic glaze course and information useful for exploring the world of glazing.
Another of my interests is kiln designs and I have built a number of wood fired, gas and diesel fired kilns, see these on the Kilns page along with other radical kiln ideas.
Under Information I have a few stories about my travels (mostly ceramic focused) including my recent ICF escapade, see the Travel page.

Busy summerI've been busy since the start of the new year with making pots and sorting out the studio furniture and entrance deck. During February it was too hot to work inside the shed - so I did all my carpentry outside. I've also been chopping trees down in preparation for the firing - which is now immanent as the fire ban has been lifted.
TeachingI'm keen to stat teaching from home how that I have a spanking new studio. See my new WORKSHOPS page for more details.
Rahu Road Pottery & GalleryThis is the new site I've created as a home for Rahu Road Pottery & Gallery, which is basically where I make pots. It will be where I'll post up news about building the studio, new pots from the kiln and what's happening in the gallery.
